Back to Matte and Earth Tones

As none of my family is in London for Xmas this year, I decided to spend it by watching the whole 4 seasons of The Vampire Diaries a.k.a movie marathon accompanied with red wine.  I love Elena Gilbert make-up look - a very simple, nothing too made up and yet looks fresh and gorgeous (that's what most teens should look like I suppose).   Recently, I have been all about bright lips and smoke eyes and since I finished the seasons, I thought I might try something more natural and more low key look.  This is my first time that I tried make up inspired by celebrities so hope you guys enjoyed it ^^ Face Primer:  Benefit POREfessional Under eye:  Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover Up - NW 25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat - No. 2 Powder:  Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - Translucent Eyebrow:  Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake - Gaze Eyeshadow Primer:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeshadow:  MAC Pigment in Indianwood; Illamasqua Eyeshado

Sophie Smokey Eye set

Xmas Party has always been all about food, drinks and nonetheless to look effortlessly gorgeous, so I thought I would go for a simple make up look a.k.a Smokey eyes by using Illamasqua Limited Edition Sophie Smokey Eye set.  This set is very simple and you only need 4 items in total:  Stealth Eyeshadow on the lids & brow-bone, Machine Eyeshadow on the outer eye & along the crease, Sophie Eye Pencil and Mascara in Raven.  To finish off the look I used Illamasqua Eyeshadow in Vernau as a bronzer and lipstick in Obey.  Not forgotten for the nails, I am currently using Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Caress to go with the smokey eyes look.  It is a gorgeous ice blue that reminds me of snowflakes - I suppose ^^ I wish everyone as well as my lovely followers a lovely Merry Christmas xoxo

All About Bright & Bold Lips

Xmas only few days to go and I thought I might share some of my favourite bright lips colour to welcome the festive season.  Since I was a kid I have always hated red and bright colours and have always stick with neutral colours.  It's only from beginning of this year that I decided to come out from my comfort zone and begins to explore different colours.  My little collection starting from left to right: MAC Amplified Lipstick - Impassioned Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color SPF 12 - Old Hollywood Matt Finish Yves Rocher - No. 101 Framboise  Chanel Rouge Allure from Red Collection - No.  99 Pirate Matt Finish Illamasqua - Magnetism Matt Finish  My first purchased will be MAC Amplified Lipstick in Impassioned.  It is a high pigmented lipstick and a creamy texture without leaving your lips dry and stay moisturised.  This is one of my favourite colour from MAC collection as the formula is quite pigmented, you only need one glide, it's a beautiful hot pink that suits everyo

Urban Decay Naked Basic Pallete

Image
I was meeting up with Amy today for some catching up before Xmas break, so I decided to give my new Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette a go.  I am a big fan of Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette and their primer potion.  Well, this basic palette is a smaller version consist of 5 matte colours and 1 semi-matte.  Since I have a huge obsession with matte finish look, I have to get my hands on it (not like I need another palette).   I love this palette especially on the days where I just want to spend less time on my make-up.  With this look I completely skip the whole foundation routine and just focusing on the eyes.  Under eye:  YSL Touche Eclat - No. 02 Face Powder:  Diamond Lash Face Powder - Matt Finish Highlighter:  Mixed of Benefit High Beam & YSL Face Highlighter - Polar Light Eyebrow:  Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake - Gaze Eyeshadow Primer:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow  Eyeshadow:  Urban Decay Naked Basic - Naked 2 & Venus around tear duct Eyeliner

All About Eyes

Last week I was all about Illamasqua Magnetism lipstick, this week I'm back to my old make-up routine a.k.a Smoke eyes.  Smokey eyes has always been one of my favourite eye make-up because it is easy but still giving you that smoulder, sexy and never boring.  All you need is a black eye-liner and some dark eyeshadow colour, but nowadays you can use any colour to create smokey eyes and never forget to blend blend blend the colour to avoid any harsh looking.  When I first took a make-up lesson, I was told specifically for Asian eyes I should avoid any dark coloured eyeshadow because it tends to make my eyes look smaller in which I completely disagree.  It's all about experimenting with colours to find the right colour that matches you, and I have always avoided glitter shadow and always opted for a matte shadow.  I can't remember which brands I have used for these looks, but they included Urban Decay Naked Palette, Bobbi Brown Cool Party Eye Palette (last xmas collec

Winter Wonderland - My Dream Comes True

Image
Who doesn't like Theme Park, Fun Fair and Manga?!?  Most people do and I am one of them, up until now I am still a big girl with a lil girl's heart.  Since I was a kid I have been into Japanese Manga and Anime, even now whenever I have spare time I'll read Manga.  In most mangas, especially the romance, teenage and drama genre you will always notice that most couples would go to theme park for dates (it's kinda like a ritual).  Finally one of my dream comes true when I went to Winter Wonderland with my dear one last week.   I have never been to one before, so I was really looking forward to it and to be honest I loved loved the place.   It was full with food, stores, games and even mulled wine - yum ^^.  I never thought that I would got some of my xmas presents there and they came in a very reasonable price as well.  My favourite was candy floss store and despite the evening was pretty cold I had a great time ^^ As much as I love my Illamasqua 'Magnetism'
