Lips of the week - Illamasqua Magnetism

Image
I purchased Illamasqua lipstick in Magnetism few weeks ago and have been rocking them since.  I have always been a big fan of smokey eyes with nude lips, but this year I have fallen in love with bright lipstick colours includes Chanel Rouge Allure No. 99 in Pirate and MAC lipstick in Impassionata and Watch Me Shimmer and less but not least Illamasqua Magnetism.  I figured as I grow older, I tend to put less make up compare to when I was in teens and bright lipsticks definitely a saviour when you just need to go minimalism but still have some colour in you.  Illamasqua 'Magnetism' I love how the colour is highly pigmented and with only one glide it gives an intense colour that last for the whole day, it's matt finish and perfect for one who wants to make a bold statement with just a sweep of lipstick ^^.   So what's your favourite bright lipstick and the kind of finish look you want to achieve?

My dear one is currently on garden leave and as we hardly spend time together because we have different working days, therefore he made the effort to spend some quality time on my day off despite of us having loads to do.  For this look, I went for something very simple 'No Make-up, Make-up look' with just a touch of mascara, eyeshadow and nude lipstick.  Whilst for the outfit I just went for a jumper and a pair of jeans to keep myself warm - sorry no pic, planning to take a pic on the bridge but weather was way too bad :[ Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Under eye Primer:  Smashbox Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW25 Powder:  Make up Forever HD Microfinish Powder  - Translucent Eyebrow:  Smashbox Brow Tech to Go - Brunette Eyes:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeliner:  Kajal - Black Mascara:  Smashbox Full Exposure - Black Blush:  Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Beige Lips:  Illamasqua - Obey Getting b

EMU Australia

All I can think of during winter season is a pair of boots to get me through day and night.  One of my favourite brand would be from UGG Australia because they are not only comfortable but also warm you up.  However, this blog is all about EMU Australia in which the company not only stocks footwear, but also clothes, accessories and bags.   When Amy invited me to EMU Pop Up Shop event, I was so excited because I have heard about the brand from few friends but never really get a chance to see their collections.   During the event, we got to browse their A/W collections and a quick preview of their S/S 2013 which I am absolutely fall in love with it.   We were also being treated to cupcakes and champagne (yummy ^^ there goes my diet of the day).  I love the size and the layout of the shop as it's neither big nor small, but a reasonable size in which they are easy access without feeling too cramp.  The designs are filled with Australian heritage.

Skyfall + Illamasqua

I mentioned that I would try on some Illamasqua products, so here we go.  It's getting colder and freezing in London and it's officially winter now, brrr which means time for Jumper and Hot Cocoa everyday (I wish hehe). I have been dying to watch Skyfall since the premiere, but when we went during the premiere it was only the front row left (sobs :'().  But, finally we got a chance to watch it and I absolutely loved it especially the soundtrack by Adele.  Obviously, all Bond's movie will cover the action, the cars, and the women.  However, Skyfall seems to me was more of a darker side of Bond where he covers using his charm.  Anyways, for this time I went for all natural look and a comfy jumper because I was in one of those days where I just couldn't be bothered to do anything as it's way too cold outside.  No Make-up look For this look, I only used Primer as a base and powder.  I tried Illamasqua cream pigment in Hollow and I absolutely loving the p

Purchase of the week - Illamasqua

During my make up course, my tutor has been mentioning about Illamasqua and few of the products she recommended.  Illamasqua has been around UK for quite sometimes now and it is the result of a partnership based on a desire to create a super-strain of makeup which based on Kryolan's 67 years of experienced in make-up industry covering theatre, film and TV.  I have always been tempted to try their products and since I used their Matt Primer and Skin based foundation, I am totally hooked with the brand ^^ From top left: 1. Nail Duo in Spartan & Throb 2. Cream Pigment in Hollow and Delerium 3. Lipstick in Obey and Magnetism  Tanya the make up artist has been so helpful and she gave me so much information as well as some tips and techniques.  She has her own facebook page called 'Tanyatomamakeupartist' so peeps please like her page because it's always nice to be able to support somebody who has the same interest as ourselves.  I have seen Nail Duo in Spartan &am

One of those week!!!

There was a saying 'it's one of those days' when you encountered either a good day or a bad day or maybe both.  Well, last week was one of those week where everything just went wrong with both my work and personal life.  Therefore, I have been avoiding any social media and drowned myself in the gym ^^ Anyhow, I am all recovered and back with a more positive attitudes.  All this thanks to my family and my friends as without them I don't think I'll be able to get pass through it. I wanna share one of my bad day in which I found it pretty funny.  I came back from work with shopping bags as I felt like baking that evening as I always feel that it's one of the best therapy one can have after the long horrible week.  But hey ho, luck wasn't on my side at all on that night.  Once I prepared all the ingredients, I found out that my hand mixer was broken (arrrgghhh :'( sobs).  However, my housemate was giving me a hand and he came out with the craziest idea by
