Anyone in the mood for Halloween?!?

Image
Happy Halloween to everyone around the globe and sending my prayers to America for the misfortune that is currently happening!!! Halloween has always been one of my favourite time of the year where you get to go over the top with your dress or make up.  I was looking forward to it but unfortunately I had to work so I chose Morticia from Addams family as my halloween inspiration.  The reason is because it's probably the safest to go for so I didn't scare away my customers plus I was wearing all black at work today and my current hair colour is jet black so voila it fit well :p  However, the best part of my day at work today was actually the request I received from one of the staff.  She asked me to do her make up for the night, as a Ghost!!! I definitely say yes but instead of going for a scary ghost with all white face and blood as she wanted.  I actually went for more of a shuttle look in which she ended up looked more like a vampire than a ghost LMAO.  O well, least

Smashbox Photo Event

I have been a big fan of Smashbox Primer and their latest Under eye Hydrating Primer is a must have in anyone's beauty bag as it hydrates, conceals dark circle and soften puffiness ^^.  Smashbox originally from US and it has been a big hit in Asia, however, it has only launched in UK sometime this year.  Therefore, I am thrilled when it came to UK as previously I always had to stock up their primer whenever I went back for holiday.  I was gutted when I missed one of their event as I was away, but when I received another email I immediately called for a reservation.  Lucky enough there were plenty of space and the first person that came across my mind to bring along with is Amy.  It was her birthday and I had no idea what to get her, so Smashbox really save my day ^^  The event not only provided a free makeover, but also they had a photoshoot taken by a professional photographer, a dj deck, a photobooth and the best thing we get to have all the photos taken home

Gloomy weather, rain and wind is the sign that winter is just around the corner and, this month Glossybox comes up with a selection of products for us to indulge and pamper ourselves therefore we are more or less ready to welcome winter season.  From left to right: Olay Regenerist 3-Point Treatment Cream Fragrance Free  DR. Jart+ BB Cream SPF 40  Skinetica Anti-Blemish Yves Rocher France Moisturising Cream Lipstick - Couleurs Nature Anatomicals Body Scrub  Compare to September's box, this month's products are so much better and more suitable for my usage. Perhaps the only product I won't be using much from this box will be skinetica but I definitely can't wait to try Anatomicals body scrub and Dr. Jart BB cream as I have always used Skin 79 BB, so it's good to be able to try out different brand ^^

British Summer ends and its official that winter is here, so I went for all smokey eyes and was playing with some colours from my recent favourite Palette from Too Faced and I overdid it.  Well, the end result wasn't as bad as I thought but maybe it is more suitable for evening look than day look.  Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Foundation:  Illamasqua Skin Base - No. 8.5 Under eye Primer:  Smashbox Photo Finish Under eye Hydrating Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW 25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch - No. 2 Contouring: MAC Pro Sculpting Cream - Pure Sculpture Powder:  Diamond Lash Loose Powder - Matte Eyeshadow Prep:  MAC Paint Pot - Painterly Eyebrow:  Benefit Brow Zing - Dark Eyeshadow:  Too Faced Matte Eye Palette - Classic in Velveteen Bunny, Pebbles & London Fog Eyeliner:  Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner - No. 01 Black Mascara Base:  Fairy Drops Mascara:  Dejavu Imju Fiberwig - Pure Black Blusher:  MAC Blush - Buff Lipst

So yesterday I was all about dramatic eyes and lips, but today I chose to tone down slightly on my lips. I love Autumn and Winter season as it allows myself to play with so many different colours and when it comes to smokey eyes, you can never go wrong with it (gloomy weather with intense look or even brighter lips).  Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Foundation:  Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation - No. 8.5 Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch No. 2 Contour:  MAC Pro Sculpting Cream - Pure Sculpture Powder:  Diamond Lash Loose Powder - Matte Eyeshadow Prep:  MAC Paint Pot - Painterly Eyebrow:  Benefit Brow Zing - Dark Eyeshadow:  MAC - Gesso (all over lids and brows), Jest (all over lids); Woodwinked (along the crease); Greensmoke (outer corner) and Deep Truth (lower lash line) Eyeliner:  Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner - No. 01 Black Mascara Base:  Fairy Drops Mascara:  Dejavu Fiberwig - Pure Black (best mas

I was getting ready for work this morning and couldn't make a choice between dramatic eyes or dramatic lips, so I decided to go for both.  There has always been a saying that if you go for a heavy eye make-up, you should tone down your lips and vice versa.  However, I believe that as long as it looks good on you and you feel confident with it I'd say go for it because make up is an art as well as part of experiment to see what suits us and what doesn't. Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Foundation:  Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation - No. 8.5 Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch No. 2 Contour:  MAC Pro Sculpting Cream - Pure Sculpture Powder:  Diamond Lash Loose Powder - Matte Eyeshadow Prep:  MAC Paint Pot - Painterly Eyebrow:  Benefit Brow Zing - Dark Eyeshadow:  MAC - Jest (all over lids); Woodwinked (along the crease) & Tempting (outer corner) Eyeliner:  Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner - N

YSL makeover by Fred Letailleur

Image
Holiday is over, back in London and my first agenda of the week is the appointment with YSL for a makeover with the YSL International Makeup Artist, Fred Letailleur.  I was pretty nervous and excited at the same time because it was my first time to do a makeover and to be honest, I learnt a lot of tips and technique from him by the end of the session ^^. I have been a big fan of YSL Touche Eclat (who doesn't really!!!) but I never get the right hang on using them.  Therefore, during this makeover I enquired to learn the best way to use Touche Eclat and to explore their new Xmas collection, yay :D Introduction on the YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum and how to choose the right foundation color for Le Teint Touche Eclat  I have received samples of YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in two different shades and I always go for either beige or natural foundation colour, but during the foundation color match I only found out that the colour of my face is different to my neck 0_0.  Ap
