Amy He

Amy is half Chinese - half English and she is also my friend and work colleague at Dragon Castle Restaurant.  When I first met her I thought how gorgeous she is.  When I said gorgeous, I literally meant it as she has the longest eyelashes ever!!!  Her hobbies include sewing, reading, blogging, tea-drinking and baking.  Although she is still young, she has her own clothing line calls MOD DOLLY where she designed and sew the dresses herself, and they are all gorgeous and beautifully handcrafted!  She is currently being nominated as a newcomer for the Cosmopolitan Blog Award 2012.  Her blog is called Dolls are united! and it is a must to read for anyone who is into fashion!
Before!
Despite her busy schedule, she still able to squeeze in some time to be my model for makeover.  I am so grateful for that.  The look was inspired from 1940s that suit her personal style, whilst I added a twist of 'Arabian' by adding a headband I bought from Asos sometime ago.  The look suit her perfectly!
The makeover took place at Primrose hill and I did not add anymore false eyelashes not only because she doesn't need one at all due to her enviable long eyelashes but also mainly because she is already have a great skin without much make-up on ;)

Can't believe that it's November already, Xmas is just around the corner and 2012 is nearly over.  So far October has been a fun and relaxing month for myself and I just want to share what I have bought and my current must have in my make up bag ^^  I have been wanting to try out Too Faced products and have been hearing the rave about it.  Don't get me wrong, I love my MAC, Coastal Scents and Bobbi Brown eyeshadows.  However, I felt that Too Faced Eye Palette is convenient if I am travelling or just going for a night out without having to bring so many different colours in one bag which is quite annoying sometimes.  So, my plan was only to buy one to try out but I ended up buying the whole range except the romantic look (arrghhh annoyed with myself sometimes).  I bought all palettes from Boots Piccadilly Circus apart from the Natural at Night range as it's sold out everywhere.  You can get them from Beautybay , beauty and hair website where you can get mostly every

Hey my lovelies, here is my last and maybe my favourite Valentines look.  Something very simple yet show the soft and romantic side.  Sometimes less is more and this look will definitely turn your loved ones' head around when you don't try too hard and it can be worn as everyday look ^^ Products I used: Step by Step: Prep the eye using Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow and Apply MAC Jest eyeshadow all over the eye Apply MAC All That Glitter on the eye lid Using Pencil Brush, apply Too Faced Matte Eyes Palette in Vintage Violet on the outer crease Blend in MAC Tempting just on the outer corner up to the crease Apply MAC Tempting on the lower lashes connected to the end of the eye and All That Glitters on the inner eye. Finished the look of with eyeliner and tons of mascara from Max Factor Clump Defy (for me anyways as mine is so fine!!!) Closer Look As I am feeling slightly flirtatious, I added some falsies just at the outer corner of the eye.

Illamasqua - The Night Time Diva Course

I was attending a make-up course at Illamasqua the other day and was shown a step by step demonstration on how to create a smokey eyes for a night out.  The atmosphere was very friendly with a small size class plus the tutor was very informative as well.  Blank Canvas Before Foundation & how concealer under the brow bone really lift up the eye ^^ It's all about Contouring - Im completely obsessed with it!!! Final Look!!! One trick I've learnt through the night was to skip a concealer and used a peach cream pigment to conceal any dark circles and it does wonder.  Since the course, I have been using the cream pigment in Emerge instead of concealer ^^  Obviously, I didn't leave the store without purchasing any products and as valentine's day is around the corner, I'm all about peach colour (o well ^^).  Clockwise from left: Cream Pigment - Emerge Blusher - Lover Lipstick - Sonnet Have a great weekend xx
