Back to Matte and Earth Tones

As none of my family is in London for Xmas this year, I decided to spend it by watching the whole 4 seasons of The Vampire Diaries a.k.a movie marathon accompanied with red wine.  I love Elena Gilbert make-up look - a very simple, nothing too made up and yet looks fresh and gorgeous (that's what most teens should look like I suppose).   Recently, I have been all about bright lips and smoke eyes and since I finished the seasons, I thought I might try something more natural and more low key look.  This is my first time that I tried make up inspired by celebrities so hope you guys enjoyed it ^^ Face Primer:  Benefit POREfessional Under eye:  Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover Up - NW 25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat - No. 2 Powder:  Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - Translucent Eyebrow:  Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake - Gaze Eyeshadow Primer:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeshadow: ...

Walking Along River Thames

Image
My dear one is currently on garden leave and as we hardly spend time together because we have different working days, therefore he made the effort to spend some quality time on my day off despite of us having loads to do.  For this look, I went for something very simple 'No Make-up, Make-up look' with just a touch of mascara, eyeshadow and nude lipstick.  Whilst for the outfit I just went for a jumper and a pair of jeans to keep myself warm - sorry no pic, planning to take a pic on the bridge but weather was way too bad :[ Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Under eye Primer:  Smashbox Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW25 Powder:  Make up Forever HD Microfinish Powder  - Translucent Eyebrow:  Smashbox Brow Tech to Go - Brunette Eyes:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeliner:  Kajal - Black Mascara:  Smashbox Full Exposure - Black Blush:  Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Be...

Skyfall + Illamasqua

Image
I mentioned that I would try on some Illamasqua products, so here we go.  It's getting colder and freezing in London and it's officially winter now, brrr which means time for Jumper and Hot Cocoa everyday (I wish hehe). I have been dying to watch Skyfall since the premiere, but when we went during the premiere it was only the front row left (sobs :'().  But, finally we got a chance to watch it and I absolutely loved it especially the soundtrack by Adele.  Obviously, all Bond's movie will cover the action, the cars, and the women.  However, Skyfall seems to me was more of a darker side of Bond where he covers using his charm.  Anyways, for this time I went for all natural look and a comfy jumper because I was in one of those days where I just couldn't be bothered to do anything as it's way too cold outside.  No Make-up look For this look, I only used Primer as a base and powder.  I tried Illamasqua cream pigment in Hollow and I absolutely lo...

October Purchased

Image
Can't believe that it's November already, Xmas is just around the corner and 2012 is nearly over.  So far October has been a fun and relaxing month for myself and I just want to share what I have bought and my current must have in my make up bag ^^  I have been wanting to try out Too Faced products and have been hearing the rave about it.  Don't get me wrong, I love my MAC, Coastal Scents and Bobbi Brown eyeshadows.  However, I felt that Too Faced Eye Palette is convenient if I am travelling or just going for a night out without having to bring so many different colours in one bag which is quite annoying sometimes.  So, my plan was only to buy one to try out but I ended up buying the whole range except the romantic look (arrghhh annoyed with myself sometimes).  I bought all palettes from Boots Piccadilly Circus apart from the Natural at Night range as it's sold out everywhere.  You can get them from Beautybay , beauty and hair website where you ca...

Smashbox Photo Event

Image
I have been a big fan of Smashbox Primer and their latest Under eye Hydrating Primer is a must have in anyone's beauty bag as it hydrates, conceals dark circle and soften puffiness ^^.  Smashbox originally from US and it has been a big hit in Asia, however, it has only launched in UK sometime this year.  Therefore, I am thrilled when it came to UK as previously I always had to stock up their primer whenever I went back for holiday.  I was gutted when I missed one of their event as I was away, but when I received another email I immediately called for a reservation.  Lucky enough there were plenty of space and the first person that came across my mind to bring along with is Amy.  It was her birthday and I had no idea what to get her, so Smashbox really save my day ^^  The event not only provided a free makeover, but also they had a photoshoot taken by a professional photographer, a dj deck, a photobooth and the best thing we get to have ...
