Dior Fragrance Latest Ad starring Natalie Portman

Image
Hey dolls, happy fridays and hope you lovelies had a great week so far.  This week my look is inspired by Miss Dior latest ad including a short film starring Natalie Portman and directed by Sophia Copella called 'La Vie en Rose'.  I heart this look as you can tell that by the title that it fills with full of romance, love, pink and purple (so parisian and l'Amoure ^^).  Step by step: Prep the skin and I'm using Illamasqua Matt Primer Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation No. 8.5 and Make up Forever HD Translucent Loose Powder Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Lilac Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Gaze link In the ad Natalie was using Purple Liner in replace to Black liner so I am using Bobbi Brown Long wear Gel Liner in Violet Purple - which for some reason look more blue in the picture :( and then I used Max Factor Clump Defy mascara  Using Illamasqua Gleam in the inner corner of the eyes, under brow bone, along the centre of the nose and along th...

Baobella - Bloggers Go Pro Competition

Image
Recently I  joined a new beauty sharing website called Baobella.  It is a place where all beauty lovers can share and inspired one another.  In addition, there is a forum section where all beauty lovers can post questions regarding absolute everything. The website called  www.baobella.com  and it is very easy navigated and one of my favourite is the pictures layout especially for someone like me who only have couple of hours a day to blog due to my full time work.  They are collaborating with Shoreditch School of makeup and are currently holding a competition for bloggers and the look I chose to enter was the ones that I created in a whim, which I named it Smokey Bronze Eyes.   The winner will receive a 6 week professional make up training course, personal shopping at MAC, a luxury afternoon tea with the Baobella Team and a chance to interview an award winning make up artist Siobhon Luckie.  They will also choose a runner up who will ...

Green & Pink on Snowy Day

Image
Despite of the heavy snow and bad weather, I tried to keep myself warm indoors and thought might as well blog what I am wearing for today.  I bought Illamasqua melodrama eyeshadow few weeks ago and only had a chance to use it today as an eyeliner together with the sealing gel.  Products I used  My First Initial Thought I planned to go for a natural look but decided that it'd be nice just to add a little bit of colour since it's dull outside and a colour will definitely will brighten things up without making myself way too made up ^^ Melodrama eyeshadow mixed with sealing gel as an eyeliner along under eye rim Hourglass Opaque Rouge in Edition To finish off the look, I add a touch of pink matte lipstick from Hourglass.  I am completely in love with Hourglass right now, especially this lipstick as it is matte finish without drying the lips and it's very pigmented therefore you only need one glide for the colour to show.  Furthermore, t...

Back to Matte and Earth Tones

Image
As none of my family is in London for Xmas this year, I decided to spend it by watching the whole 4 seasons of The Vampire Diaries a.k.a movie marathon accompanied with red wine.  I love Elena Gilbert make-up look - a very simple, nothing too made up and yet looks fresh and gorgeous (that's what most teens should look like I suppose).   Recently, I have been all about bright lips and smoke eyes and since I finished the seasons, I thought I might try something more natural and more low key look.  This is my first time that I tried make up inspired by celebrities so hope you guys enjoyed it ^^ Face Primer:  Benefit POREfessional Under eye:  Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover Up - NW 25 Highlighter:  YSL Touche Eclat - No. 2 Powder:  Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - Translucent Eyebrow:  Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake - Gaze Eyeshadow Primer:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeshadow: ...

All About Eyes

Image
Last week I was all about Illamasqua Magnetism lipstick, this week I'm back to my old make-up routine a.k.a Smoke eyes.  Smokey eyes has always been one of my favourite eye make-up because it is easy but still giving you that smoulder, sexy and never boring.  All you need is a black eye-liner and some dark eyeshadow colour, but nowadays you can use any colour to create smokey eyes and never forget to blend blend blend the colour to avoid any harsh looking.  When I first took a make-up lesson, I was told specifically for Asian eyes I should avoid any dark coloured eyeshadow because it tends to make my eyes look smaller in which I completely disagree.  It's all about experimenting with colours to find the right colour that matches you, and I have always avoided glitter shadow and always opted for a matte shadow.  I can't remember which brands I have used for these looks, but they included Urban Decay Naked Palette, Bobbi Brown Cool Party Eye Palette (last...
