Retro & Old Glam

Image
Hey lovelies, this is my second time of channeling a celebrity look - Emma Stone.  If anyone has seen Gangster Squad, I'm sure you would agree on how gorgeous she looked on the set with her porcelain skin and that retro old glam look.   Obviously, I neither have red hair nor having a fair porcelain skin but it's the makeup that intrigued me to re-create the look - as close as I can so I hope you guys will enjoy it ^^ Overall products I used: Step by step: I know it looked weird, I tried this speckled method after attended the Beauty Drop in at Illamasqua where so you can see I had my highlighter, bronzer and my foundation all dotted along the face where I wanted them to be  Blend Blend Blend and Voila the end result :D Instead using Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake in Gaze, I used Too Faced Matte Palette in Coffee Bean for eyebrows, Midnight eyeshadow for lid only, eyeliner and Mascara.  I have been dying to use Illamasqua Gleam since I boug...

Walking Along River Thames

My dear one is currently on garden leave and as we hardly spend time together because we have different working days, therefore he made the effort to spend some quality time on my day off despite of us having loads to do.  For this look, I went for something very simple 'No Make-up, Make-up look' with just a touch of mascara, eyeshadow and nude lipstick.  Whilst for the outfit I just went for a jumper and a pair of jeans to keep myself warm - sorry no pic, planning to take a pic on the bridge but weather was way too bad :[ Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Under eye Primer:  Smashbox Hydrating Under Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW25 Powder:  Make up Forever HD Microfinish Powder  - Translucent Eyebrow:  Smashbox Brow Tech to Go - Brunette Eyes:  Illamasqua Cream Pigment - Hollow Eyeliner:  Kajal - Black Mascara:  Smashbox Full Exposure - Black Blush:  Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick - Be...

Once you leave uni, your life mostly surrounded by work work and work.  That's what happened with mine and my housemates that we hardly have time to catch up.  Therefore, we arranged a night out at Miabella and I chose to wear new dress I got from Primark in which I am so in love right now ^^  Dress:  Primark Bag:  Mango Shoes:  Dune Necklace:  Zara  I always go for smoke eyes if I am going out for a night out and I used Enrapture Totem Styler and seriously I am in love with this styler as it gave me the curls I have always wanted and they last for a whole evening without going loose  Results from using Enrapture Totem Styler ^^ Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Foundation:  Make up Forever HD - No. 125 Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW 25 Contouring:  MAC Pro Sculpting Cream - Pure Sculpture Powder:  Make up Forever HD Microfinish Powder - Translucent Eyebrow:  Smashbox Brow Tec...

Look of the Day - Lazy Saturday

Image
Did you ever wake up one day where you didn't feel like doing anything including getting ready to work and put full make up on?!?  Well, that's what happened to me this morning where I felt sooo lazy and sometimes wished that I didn't work on weekends :(.  Therefore, I chose for the simplest make up just to add some colour on my face.  However, no matter how lazy I was I'll never skip my skincare routine as it's the most important thing if you want to prevent wrinkle or even dry skin in this winter season.  Face Primer:  Illamasqua Matt Primer - Matt Finish Foundation:  Illamasqua Skin Base - No. 8.5 Under eye Primer:  Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Eye Primer Concealer:  MAC Select Cover up - NW 25 Powder:  Smashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder - Fair Eyeshadow Prep:  MAC Paint Pot - Indianwood Eyebrow:  Benefit Brow Zing - Dark Eyeshadow:  Too Faced Matte Eye Palette - Day in Chinchilla & Coffee Bean Eyeliner: ...

October Purchased

Image
Can't believe that it's November already, Xmas is just around the corner and 2012 is nearly over.  So far October has been a fun and relaxing month for myself and I just want to share what I have bought and my current must have in my make up bag ^^  I have been wanting to try out Too Faced products and have been hearing the rave about it.  Don't get me wrong, I love my MAC, Coastal Scents and Bobbi Brown eyeshadows.  However, I felt that Too Faced Eye Palette is convenient if I am travelling or just going for a night out without having to bring so many different colours in one bag which is quite annoying sometimes.  So, my plan was only to buy one to try out but I ended up buying the whole range except the romantic look (arrghhh annoyed with myself sometimes).  I bought all palettes from Boots Piccadilly Circus apart from the Natural at Night range as it's sold out everywhere.  You can get them from Beautybay , beauty and hair website where you ca...
