Purchase of the week - Illamasqua

Image
During my make up course, my tutor has been mentioning about Illamasqua and few of the products she recommended.  Illamasqua has been around UK for quite sometimes now and it is the result of a partnership based on a desire to create a super-strain of makeup which based on Kryolan's 67 years of experienced in make-up industry covering theatre, film and TV.  I have always been tempted to try their products and since I used their Matt Primer and Skin based foundation, I am totally hooked with the brand ^^ From top left: 1. Nail Duo in Spartan & Throb 2. Cream Pigment in Hollow and Delerium 3. Lipstick in Obey and Magnetism  Tanya the make up artist has been so helpful and she gave me so much information as well as some tips and techniques.  She has her own facebook page called 'Tanyatomamakeupartist' so peeps please like her page because it's always nice to be able to support somebody who has the same interest as ourselves.  I have seen Nail Duo in Spa...

October Purchased

Image
Can't believe that it's November already, Xmas is just around the corner and 2012 is nearly over.  So far October has been a fun and relaxing month for myself and I just want to share what I have bought and my current must have in my make up bag ^^  I have been wanting to try out Too Faced products and have been hearing the rave about it.  Don't get me wrong, I love my MAC, Coastal Scents and Bobbi Brown eyeshadows.  However, I felt that Too Faced Eye Palette is convenient if I am travelling or just going for a night out without having to bring so many different colours in one bag which is quite annoying sometimes.  So, my plan was only to buy one to try out but I ended up buying the whole range except the romantic look (arrghhh annoyed with myself sometimes).  I bought all palettes from Boots Piccadilly Circus apart from the Natural at Night range as it's sold out everywhere.  You can get them from Beautybay , beauty and hair website where you ca...

YSL makeover by Fred Letailleur

Image
Holiday is over, back in London and my first agenda of the week is the appointment with YSL for a makeover with the YSL International Makeup Artist, Fred Letailleur.  I was pretty nervous and excited at the same time because it was my first time to do a makeover and to be honest, I learnt a lot of tips and technique from him by the end of the session ^^. I have been a big fan of YSL Touche Eclat (who doesn't really!!!) but I never get the right hang on using them.  Therefore, during this makeover I enquired to learn the best way to use Touche Eclat and to explore their new Xmas collection, yay :D Introduction on the YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum and how to choose the right foundation color for Le Teint Touche Eclat  I have received samples of YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat in two different shades and I always go for either beige or natural foundation colour, but during the foundation color match I only found out that the colour of my face is different to my nec...

Bicester Village

Image
The Queue!!!   Newly furbished 'Ted Baker' Love the 'mirrored wing' design ^^ After lunch we took a bus towards Bicester Village which it was only took us 30 minutes (not long at all).  I haven't been to the village for a year and some shops have been moved around and refurbished.  There's also few new shops opened, but one that caught my eyes was the 'Prada' shop where there was security guards and you ought to queue in order to get in there.   My first stop once I arrived there was to hunt down a shoulder bag.  Without any hesitation, I walked to 'Radley' shop and hunt down their 'Grosvenor' signature collection and I was lucky enough to get my hands on the mini version.  I was torn between 'tan' and 'fuchsia', but ended up with 'fuchsia' instead because you can always get another 'tan' coloured bag but not a nice gorgeous 'fuchsia' as this one.   Sorry for the bad ligh...
