The Art of Beauty

Hello 2015, well sort of as we are at the last day of January so I know I am a bit late.  O well, that is just the 'Dory' in me ^^ I wished everyone had an amazing holidays and the New Year was starting off the right track.  Mine - has been okay so far, some good days and some bad days but I have learnt to take things one day at a time and stay completely positive.   Anyways, here was my January make up look for everyday wear.  I have been trying to focus more on my skin regime and reduce the amount of make-up slathered on my face and what's the best time to do it if it's not January - detox day ^^  From L-R Clockwise:   M.A.C Blusher in Buff Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana (my all-time favourite) NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab M.A.C Cream Colour Base in Hush (I used it as a highlighter) Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Petal for lids and Taupe for the outer corner.  I also used Taupe as a contouring  Koji Dolly Wink Eyeliner in Black ...

Happy New Year 2015 and hope everyone had a great holiday and a great beginning of the year.  Can't believe that we are half way through January 2015 and thought to start my year off I am going to post my favourite day of the week - Friday ^^.  There are 7 days a week and you will always find everyday starts with new beginning and full of surprises.  But, my favourite day of the week is Friday, and the reason is because it is my 'cheat' meal day.  I tried to eat healthy most days but when it comes to Friday, it is one day where I get to spend my time in the kitchen and cook something I fancy or have been craving.  Therefore, this week I decided to cook Roast Chicken - a very simple dish that I teamed with steamed vegetables, carrots, parsnips and roast potatoes. Besides the Roast Dinner, I managed to find some time to bake some cookies as a dessert.  They were not gluten free, but I did add some oats and some other things to balance them out...
